Everyone knows what’s evening grown. A gown is a long, often loose, flowing garment. The type of dress ranges in length from tea and ballerina to full-length. Gowns are often made of a luxury fabric such as chiffon, velvet, satin, or silk.

Famous fashion designer Pierre Cardin once said when you think of Louis XV dynasty you will image a lined skirt in basket ring. Maybe that’s a huge step for evening dress design from simple to luxury.

Let’s take a look at French high society in 1800s and 1900s. From literature of Balzac, Hugo, Maupassant, we see description of evening attire. All the fancy girls wore quite nice and amazing evening dresses to attend parties. It’s easy to get that evening dress was spreading out from Paris.
